Dr. Basab Mukherjee, a fourth-generation gynaecologist, has dedicated nearly two decades to serving the community of Kolkata. His journey in medicine began at the esteemed Christian Medical College, Vellore, followed by obtaining membership from the Royal College in London in 2000.

With extensive experience, Dr. Basab Mukherjee specializes in managing high-risk pregnancies and intricate gynaecological conditions. His expertise extends to areas such as Infertility, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Menopausal Medicine, and Preventive Oncology.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Basab Mukherjee is deeply involved in academia and public awareness initiatives. He holds pivotal administrative roles in medical organizations at the state, national, and international levels. Currently, he serves as the President-Elect of the Bengal Obstetric and Gynaecological Society and holds the position of Zonal Chair for the AICC RCOG East Zone. Dr. Mukherjee's contributions extend globally, having served as the Vice President for the National Organization FOGSI in 2021-22 and as a former member of the international FIGO Safe Abortion Committee from 2018 to 2023.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Dr. Basab Mukherjee was ranked among the top three gynaecologists in the city by an independent body in 2020. His dedication to providing excellent care for his patients shows how committed he is to the field of gynecology and obstetrics.
